The Power of an
Online Newsletter
If
you have ever read any of my writings on operating a holistic
practice/business, you know what a fan I am of using your intention
and building a community of like-minded people. Communities are
organic; they grow out of the seeds you as a healer plant in the
community you serve. You are the catalyst (seed planter). I call a
group of catalysts Intuitive Communicators. Intuitive communications
is a focused platform of sharing the benefits of holistic healing,
with your audience, and starting an avalanche of conversations
centered on how holistic healing has affected their lives. And isn't
that what we are here for, changing the world one person at a time?
But how do we spread the message of holistic healing in the most
efficient way? I have found that of all the communication methods you
could use to build your practice, the online newsletter will produce
the most rewards for the effort. For most holistic healing businesses,
having an online newsletter is a really good idea. Through an online
newsletter your words, ideas, and healing practice can help people
feel empowered, celebrated and part of something wonderful. It will
also provide you with an open, heartwarming group of people who know
you, support you and who trust you enough to come to your practice for
healing and who will refer others as well. So if the holistic online
newsletter is a powerful tool to grow your practice- Business, will
the work it takes to produce the newsletter be worth it?
That's up to you. Even when you embrace the idea of an online
newsletter it can only work well for you if you are consistent.
Publishing your newsletter only once every few months and expecting
great results is a foolish idea. You must be consistent. But if you
are determined and ready to go, forward, here are a few tips: Remember
to keep your content focused on your healing work. Make it easy to
read. Write from the heart, expressing yourself from your heart will
show your passion for your healing work. To start your creative juices
flowing, I've compiled some topic ideas for you:
Holistic healing news
Case studies and testimonials
Humor
Products reviews of products you carry
Contests
Inspirational Quotes
Classes and Workshops
Interviews with Experts
Requests for feedback/ submissions
Web sites of interest
This list is a starting
point to work from.
Once you are ready, here
area few questions to ponder and steps to take in creating your own
online newsletter.
What will you call your
newsletter?
If you have a web site, I
recommend a section dedicated to telling people what it is all about
(newsletter), why they might be interested, and an easy way to
subscribe.
How will you deliver the
newsletter?
Sending out hundreds or
thousands of emails from your own PC is very cumbersome and will take
to much time.
I recommend My Newsletter
Builder or do a web search on “Email Marketing” and explore on of the
many low cost online services.
Well there you have it, the
whys and what knots of creating and publishing an online newsletter,
the rest is up to you.
